Terms of Service

Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. What TactiVal Is

TactiVal is a fan-made set of tools for VALORANT strategy planning, including a whiteboard, map veto simulator, and tier list builder.

2. Fan Content and Riot Games IP

TactiVal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc. TactiVal is an independent fan project.

VALORANT and all related names, logos, characters, agent abilities, map names, weapon models, and other game assets are the intellectual property of Riot Games, Inc. and its licensors. Their use within TactiVal is for the limited purpose of supporting fan-made strategy planning and does not transfer any rights in that intellectual property to TactiVal or its users.

If you are a rights holder and would like us to review, remove, or revise specific content, contact admin@tactival.app. See also Section 7 (Reporting Infringement).

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use TactiVal.

You may create an account using a supported third-party sign-in provider. Currently supported providers are Google and Discord. Available providers may change over time.

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your account access secure. You are also responsible for complying with the terms of the third-party sign-in provider you use to access TactiVal.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for unlawful activity
  • Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access
  • Interfere with the operation, integrity, or performance of the service
  • Abuse, harass, or harm others through the service
  • Collect data from the service in bulk, use automated systems (such as bots or scrapers), or otherwise access the service in a manner that exceeds normal usage or burdens our infrastructure
  • Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property, violates applicable law, or is intended to deceive, defraud, or harm others

5. Your Content

Your content. You retain ownership of the strategies and other content you create in TactiVal.

License to operate. You grant TactiVal a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display your content only as needed to operate the service — including delivery to you on your devices and to recipients of share links you create.

Responsibility for shared content. You are responsible for the content you choose to share, including content made accessible through public share links or read-only viewers. Once you generate a share link, anyone who has the link may access the associated content until you remove it.

Our platform. TactiVal's software, branding, visual design, and original content are owned by TactiVal and protected by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the platform itself.

Feedback and suggestions. If you send us feedback, comments, bug reports, or suggestions about TactiVal, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation. This does not apply to the strategies and other content you create in the service, which remain governed by the limited license above.

6. Content Moderation

We do not actively pre-screen or monitor user content. Review and removal are reactive — we act on reports we receive or on issues we directly become aware of.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts when content violates these Terms, infringes third-party rights, or is necessary to protect the service or other users. Where practical, we will notify the affected user.

7. Reporting Infringement

If you believe content on TactiVal infringes your intellectual property rights, send a notice to admin@tactival.app including:

  • A description of the work or right you claim has been infringed
  • A link to or sufficient description of the allegedly infringing content
  • Your contact information
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We review notices and respond within a reasonable time. Submitting knowingly false claims may result in liability under applicable law.

8. Privacy

Your use of TactiVal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it.

9. Payments and Subscriptions

Some features of TactiVal are available only through a paid subscription. The features included with each plan, and the price, are shown at checkout.

Payment processor. Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), who acts as the merchant of record. By subscribing, you also accept Polar's terms of service and privacy policy.

Billing cadence. Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis (for example, monthly) until canceled. The renewal date and amount are visible in Polar's customer portal, which you can reach via the in-app Manage Billing link or via the link included in any Polar transactional email you have received.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you retain access to paid features until that date, and you will not be billed again. We do not prorate partial periods.

Refunds. Subscriptions are generally non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Polar at their discretion in accordance with their refund policy and any applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, your subscription enters a past-due state. You will be notified by Polar and within TactiVal, and access to paid features may be limited or revoked if the payment is not resolved within the grace period set by Polar.

Account deletion. If you delete your TactiVal account while a paid subscription is active, we will initiate cancellation with Polar before deleting your account. Polar may retain limited billing records as described in our Privacy Policy.

Fair use. Plan features described as "unlimited" are intended for normal individual use and are subject to fair use. We may apply reasonable limits to prevent abuse, automated or bulk creation, or activity that disproportionately strains our infrastructure, and we will give reasonable notice before applying any such limit to an existing subscriber.

Changes. Subscription prices and plan contents may change. We will give reasonable advance notice by reasonable means, which may include in-app notice and email, before any change affects your next renewal.

10. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service or for the temporary or permanent unavailability of any feature.

11. No Warranty

TactiVal is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You use the service at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TactiVal and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, or profits arising from your use of the service.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You may delete your account at any time from the in-app account settings.

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if needed to protect the service or other users.

If your account is terminated or deleted, your right to use account-only features ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, no warranty, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law — will continue to apply.

14. Informal Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal action arising from or related to these Terms or the service, you agree to first contact admin@tactival.app with a description of the issue and to give us a reasonable opportunity — at least 30 days — to resolve it informally.

This step is intended to resolve concerns quickly and is not a substitute for any rights you may have under applicable law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes not resolved under Section 14 will be subject to the courts of the Philippines, except where applicable consumer-protection or local laws give you a right to bring claims in your country of residence.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
